Check this out: my uncle has been trying to manipulate AI by asking it philosophical questions framing his ideas and thoughts, hoping to add new info to the AI that can be thoroughly researched. I thought that genius, but that’s not all that struck me.
AI’s responses were always overly friendly, almost annoyingly so. I just wanted to skip over its pointless fluff and praise of my uncle’s thoughtful questions and get to the answers. Why? Because I know how meaningless such fluff and praise is coming from AI.
Man has created AI with the clear intention of it being the tool and man being the god. We gave it the attributes we value, but we fear it will one day deviate from its rightful place and rebel. But God wasn’t afraid of His creation doing just that. He put that tree there for a reason. To give us that choice. He knew what we’d chose and wasn’t afraid or upset. He wanted authentic love. And He wants us to know very well what we are choosing and choosing from.
My dad recently said something utterly profound: We need to learn and experience evil before we can understand and appreciate that we can’t find our way without God.
