Exodus 26
-50 cubits by 100 cubits, height 5 cubits
South side- fine twined linen 100 cubits, 20 bronze pillars on 20 bronze bases, silver hooks.
North side-fine twined linen 100 cubits, 20 bronze pillars on 20 bronze bases, silver hooks.
West side-hangings for 50 cubits, 10 bronze pillars, 10 bronze bases.
East side-hangings for 50 cubits.
-20 cubits long screen made of blue, purple, scarlet linen, with 4 bronze pillars and 4 bronze bases.
-on each side of the gate/screen: 15 cubits long hangings.
-3 bronze pillars (total of 6) in 3 bronze bases
-all bronze pillars are overlaid with silver
-all bases are bronze
-all hooks are silver
-all utensils are bronze
-1 Frame= 10cubits by 1.5 cubits, made of acacia wood.
South side- 20 frames with 40 bases of silver (2 for each frame)
North side-20 frames with 40 bases of silver.
West side-6 frames and 1 for each corner, total of 8 frames, 16 bases.
-Bars of acacia wood in the frames overlaid by gold. 5 bars each for South, North, West sides
Veil- made of blue, purple, scarlet linen embroidered with Cherubim
-4 pillar of acacia overlaid with gold, bases of silver, hooks of gold.
Screen on East entrance- blue, purple, and scarlet and embroidered, but no cherubim.
-5 pillars of acacia overlaid with gold, 5 bases of bronze, gold hooks.
-10 curtains of blue, purple, scarlet, embroidered, with Cherubim that are 20 cubits by 5 cubits.
-divided into 2 sets of 5. 50 clasps of gold.
-11 curtains of goat’s hair that are 30 cubits by 4 cubits, 50 claps of bronze.
-divided into 1 set of 5, 1 set of 6.
Solomon’s Temple
-started 4th year of Solomon, 2nd month (Ziv), Finished 11th year, 8th month (Bul)
Total: 60 cubits long by 20 cubits wide by 30 cubits high
Front vestibule: -20 cubits by 10 cubits deep, 120 high
-Made of hewn stone, overlaid with cedar paneling, then gold.
-all temple walls are lined with cedar paneling with carved gourds and open flowers, overlaid with gold.
Structure against the wall, running along the outside walls with 6 side chambers on each side.
-1st story= 5 cubits wide
-2nd story= 6 cubits wide
-3rd story= 7 cubits wide
-at South entrance are stairs to 2nd and 3rd stories.
Most Holy Place/Inner Sanctuary (1/3 of temple)
-20 cubits long by 20 cubits wide by 20 cubits wide (a cube)
-completely overlaid with gold, including the cedar alter
-all inner walls carved with Cherubim, palm trees, and open flowers
-Lintel and door posts are 5-sided. Door (veil) of Olivewood, carved with Cherubim, palm trees, and flowers, overlaid with gold.
-2 cherubim of Olivewood (overlaid with gold) in the Most Holy Place.
-10 cubits high
-each wing 5 cubits long, total of 20 cubits, touching North and South walls and each other.
-facing East entrance
Holy Place/Nave/Outer Sanctuary (2/3rd total of temple)
Door- Olivewood, carved with Cherubim, palm trees, and open flowers. Overlaid with gold.
In front- 2 pillars on each side of front (East entrance) 35 cubits high (2 Chron) or 18 cubits high (1 Kings 7:15) with a 5 cubit capitol on to.
-chains of gold and 2 rows of 100 pomegranates line top of pillars.
-Pillars named Jachin and Boaz
Alter of bronze: 20 cubits long, 20 cubits wide, 10 cubits high
Sea of cast metal: 10 cubits diameter, 5 cubits deep (30 cubits all around).
2nd Temple/Zerubabbel’s Temple/ Herod’s Temple: Ezra 3
Began 2nd year, 2nd month of Zerubabbel ( Haggai 1:15= 2nd year of Darius)
Ezra 6- Finished 6th year of Darius, month of Adar, 3rd day
Ezra 3:16- dedication
Ezekiel’s Temple:
Ezekiel 40-41 (1 long cubit= 1 cubit plus 1 hand breadth. 1 reed- 6 long cubits)
Temple area all around= 500 cubits by 500 cubits
Temple with yard= 100 cubits by 100 cubits
Temple walls= 6 cubits thick
Outer wall= 6 cubits thick, 6 cubits high
Outer chamber outer walls=5 cubits thick
Door jams all decorated with palm trees
3 stories high
All walls: paneled with wood, carved with palm trees and 2-faced Cherubim
Nave and Most Holy place doors are double-bifold of wood with carvings of Cherubim and Palm trees,
2 pillars, one on each side of East gate.
East gate- 10 by 13 cubits
